Definition. Continuous plane drawings [cn-0003]

A continuous plane drawing of a finite simple graph assigns distinct points of \(\mathbb R^2\) to its vertices and an injectively parameterized continuous arc to each edge. The arc joins its endpoint vertices, and its interior contains no vertex. Curved routes and arbitrary vertex positions are allowed.

For \(K_{m,n}\) [cn-0002], write \(\gamma _{ip}:[0,1]\to \mathbb R^2\) for the arc from \(a_i\) to \(b_p\). Its edge interior is \(\gamma _{ip}((0,1))\). Intersections between edge interiors are further restricted by admissibility [cn-0004].
